Course Description:
The Postgraduate Diploma ENT programme is designed specifically for clincians to build on your existing knowledge, skills and experience and develop mastery in the clinical and service aspects of ENT. There are 2 modules leading to Postgraduate Diploma ENT level award.
Course Content:
Module 1:
- Core generic knowledge & skills
- Determinants of health
- Lifestyle factors in health
- Identification of risk factors
- Nutrition and health
- Breaking bad news.
Module 2: Advances in ENT
- Medical sciences relating to ENT, Deafness, Rhinnorhoea, Dysphagia, Vertigo/dizziness.
- Epistaxis, hoarseness, otorrhoea/otalgia, facial pain, neck swelling.
- Tinnitus, nasal blockage, otitis media with effusion (OME).
- Evidence based medicine: it’s role & use in clinical practice.
- Ear & nose emergencies, globus pharyngeus, intranasal drugs, facial palsy, specific head + neck emergencies.
- Rehabilitation services (Hearing aids and vestibular rehabilitation),, Snoring & obstructive sleep apnoea.
- ENT emergencies in children.
- Oral lesions.
- The role of the ENT specialist speech & Language Therapist
Eligibility Criteria: Medical graduate (MBBS) with at least 3 years of Experience as primary care physician/clinical
Certificate – You will receive a “Post Graduate Diploma in ENT” (Online) after successful completion of this course.
